I was born in Sumer 1977 in Łódź/Poland as a daughter of an opera singer.
My first performance on stage took place when I was 5 years old. I was playing a little son of Madame Butterfly in the opera “Madame Butterfly“ at the state theatre of Łódź.
Since then I was always fascinated by live performances of Art, Theatre and Music and the need to become an artist myself begun to grow. At the beginning of the 90’s I moved together with my family to Germany and a new chapter in my life has begun.
The stage was always a place where I felt at home. That’s why during my new life in Germany I was participating in some youth projects such as “Cats” (KUFA in Koblenz) or a dance performance “Zielspringer” in Konradhaus in Koblenz, but also family performances for the German-Polish society in Düsseldorf, together with my brother Przemek Rogala, who is a classical piano player and my mother, Zofia Rogala, who is an opera singer and singing teacher.
The years in The Royal Conservatory were a great opportunity to play a lot of jazz and different concerts in a multicultural environment. I’m very thankful for this chance I could grab. Making music means a lot to me, it gives me freedom, it keeps me going on and it has a big influence on my creativity and my whole life.
Life performances of my music are the best chance to reach people’s hearts and present myself in an honest, true, spontaneous and creative way. My musical interests reach from standart jazz, bossa nova, modern jazz, latin jazz to fusion jazz. But also the experimental jazz is something I like to explore. My own compositions are presented not only in the English language, but also in Polish.
I’m performing with my own Gosia Rogala Quartett and working on some other projects.
4 of my compositions have been published in The German Book Vol.I. More information about this book: www.sena-music.de, or www.nil.ike-u.de.
